The Fort Collins African Drum & Dance Collective is dedicated to learning, teaching, and promoting traditional African rhythms. It’s through the kinetic conversation between the drummers and the dancers that the rhythms come alive. Our community is sustained by a deep respect for our teachers and by studying, sharing, and celebrating the rich culture of African drum and dance together.
Learn to drum, dance, or both!!
We meet Sundays:
3:00 – Beginners Drum Class
3:30 – All Levels Drum Class
4:30 – Dance Class
We meet at Becks’ Martial Arts, 2020 S. College Ave, just south of Chase Bank at the corner of Spring Park Drive. We meet just about every week, but to keep up to date, join our email list and/or view the calendar. That is where the latest up-to-date class information is always shared.
Drums are available for use at each class.
Cost:
$15 for classes taught by one of our local volunteer teachers
$20 for classes taught by guest artists
Fees from our weekly community drum and dance classes help cover rent and artists’ fees for guest teachers.
